Theme Settings - Product

This product settings section provides a powerful set of tools to customize how products are displayed across your entire site. You can tweak everything from badges, Miscellaneous to how details like variation information are displayed.

1. Variant picker

• Pick Mode: Select the method of selecting the displayed product variants, can be no pick, pick first variant or pick first available variant
• Enable history state: Update history state for product deeplinking shopify. It’s possible to create a deep-link directly to a specific variant by adding a query string to a product page URL. You can achieve this by appending the ?variant= query parameter to the URL of the product, along with the ID of the variant. Not working when product variant is No Pick.
• Hide sold out variants: Not applicable for product sold out.

2. Badges

• Use on sale badge: When enabled, a badge will appear on products that are currently discounted.
• On sale badge display style: Choose how the on-sale badge displays, you can choose between text or percentage.
• Use new badge: Adds a “New” label to recently added products.
• Automatic "New" badge period: Set how long a product is marked as “New” after it's created (in days).
• Use sold-out badge: Displays a badge on products that are out of stock.
• Use pre-order badge: Adds a “Pre Order” label to products available for pre-purchase.

To set up pre-order products, you tick on 'Track quantity' and 'Continue selling when out of stock' of the product.

How to Use custom badge

You can add your custom badges to each product.

Step 1: To set up custom badges, go to Settings > Metafields and metaobjects > Products > create a metafield with the following options:

Step 2: Enter name & Namespace and key > Select Content Type: Text > Single line text > List of values (you can add up to 5 badges for one product)

Name: Custom Badges

Namespace and key: theme.custom_badges

Step 3: Go to the product you want to add custom badges to > Add

3. Miscellaneous

• Placeholder for product no image: you can set the Placeholder Image for products that have not been set image before
• Use collection link on vendor: Replace vendor link to collection link. Requires exist a collection has the name same as the vendor of the product.
