Password
The Password section is a customizable landing page that appears when your Shopify store is password-protected. It's a great way to give visitors a branded "coming soon" experience while you're preparing your store for launch or updates.

1. How to access a Password section
You can access a Password by following these simple steps:
- From Shopify Admin, click on Online Store > Select Themes > **In the **Current theme section, click the Customize button.

- In the theme editor (Customize), navigate to the Password page > click the Sections button > you will see the Password section displayed in the template area.

2. How to edit a Password section
After accessing the Password section, you can configure some general options for the Password section below:
- Color scheme: Choose a predefined color theme for the entire section.
- Secondary color scheme: This provides an option to apply a different color scheme to specific blocks within the Password section.
- Logo: This option allows you to upload and configure your store's logo.
- Select: Upload your own image.
- Explore free images: Choose from free image resources.
- Logo width: Adjusts the displayed width of your logo in pixels (px).
- Background image: This option enables you to set a background image for your Password section. Recommended size: 3000 × 1800px. The image might be slightly cropped depending on screen size.
- Mobile background image: This allows you to specify a different background image specifically for mobile devices. Recommended size: 3000 × 1800px. The image might be slightly cropped depending on screen size.
- Overlay opacity: Controls the transparency of the dark overlay on top of your background image. A higher value means the background is more hidden.

3. How to edit a blocks within Password section
The Password section allows for further customization through the addition and configuration of blocks like a Heading; Countdown; Newsletter; and Social links.
To add a block, click the Add block button (plus icon ➕) under the Password section > In the Blocks tab, select your block.

3.1. Heading block
- Heading text: This box is where you input the main headline. You can format the text using bold, italic, link ...

3.2. Countdown block
Display period: The countdown timer can run for up to 99 days maximum. You can set the time zone in the theme settings to ensure the countdown ends at the correct local time.
- Year: This allows you to set the target year for the countdown to end.
- Month: This allows you to set the target month for the countdown to end.
- Day: This allows you to set the target day of the month for the countdown to end.
- Hour: This allows you to set the target hour for the countdown to end (likely in a 24-hour format).
- Minute: This allows you to set the target minute for the countdown to end.
- Action when the timer end: Choose what happens when the countdown reaches zero:
- Leave timer at zero: The timer stays visible, frozen at 00:00.
- Hide Section: The entire countdown section will disappear.
- Hide timer and show message: The timer will be hidden and replaced with a custom message.
- Timer end message: If you choose “Hide timer and show message,” you can enter a custom message here. This message supports basic text formatting (bold, italic, links).

3.3. Social links block
- Manage social links: This button likely takes you to a general settings area within your theme where you can define the actual URLs for your various social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Once those URLs are set up globally, this block will pull those links.
- Label: This is a text field where you can enter a heading or a short phrase that will appear alongside your social media icons.
